My name is Christian, and I'm very glad that you've found your way here. In addition to my many hobbies, I am also an engineer for building technology and construction and love my job. I'm particularly interested in digitalization in the construction industry - unfortunately, modern planning methods in the construction industry are not yet as well established in Germany as I would like them to be. But I want to change that!
BIM, VDC, integrative planning - it is high time to lead our construction industry into the 21st century.

I actually wanted to become a graphic designer. But then I realized that I'd rather do it privately as a hobby - so I quickly decided on the most difficult profession I could imagine: To become an engineer. I completed my degree in electrical engineering with a focus on electrical systems in building construction and discovered the field of BIM for myself.
I worked at Canzler for two years on the largest construction site in Germany at the time - the new Terminal 3 at Frankfurt Airport. It was an exciting and incredibly large project where I learned a lot. During this time, I trained to become a BIM manager, but I was looking for even more challenges in this area...
... so I returned to my studies. The specialization in industrial engineering with a focus on building services engineering was supposed to provide that. Business and technical knowledge was taught, but it wasn't 100% what I wanted. So I took an even more difficult path.
I applied for a Fulbright Scholarship to study Architectural Engineering at Pennsylvania State University in the USA. The best university in the world in this subject. Under Dr. John Messner, I completed my Master's degree in two semesters and for the first time I felt like I was exactly where I was supposed to be.
After a short break in Germany, where I completed my Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, I returned to the Pennsylvania State University. I started my PhD under Dr. Messner with a focus on digitalization in construction and future-oriented methodology.
